Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born 13 December 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift is a pop/country songwriter and singer for the past 20 years. Her tales about romance and love at first sight have gained her widespread popularity during the 21st Century. Swift developed an interest for musical instruments as a young person and quickly progressed from playing in children's shows and then making her first public appearance front of an audience. When Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of an Philadelphia 76ers match when she was 11 she had already begun composing songs. The next year she began playing guitar. Swift became inspired to compose her own songs by the music of country genre such as Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift was only 13 when her parents made the choice to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm and move to Hendersonville Tennessee. She could dedicate all her efforts to contacting the country music labels that were based in Nashville.
